purchase a game in the xbox live but not on your device

I'm wondering, because i find one game is 50%off on the xbox store but I'm not going back home before the expiration of the discount. The problem is that I remove the electrical outlet of my xbox, so if I buy the game it's not gonna download the game.

Do you think that we can buy the game on a computer or on the xbox apps and that can wait for the download ?

I believe that games are linked to your account and not your device. So if you purchased from the store via your account it should be in the ready to install section of My Apps & Games.

Once you buy content regardless of what that may be it's yours for good. You don't need to download it straight away.

You can also purchase content on whatever device you want, it does not need to be via a console.

You can purchase games on Microsoft store on web browser and once you get home it should be in your ready to install if that's what you're asking.

This seems like the closest answer I could find... which basically means the coins may still exist just on my unlinked account onthe switch? Gonna talk to nintendo again. Troubling that no where when you link your account does it say you will lose whatever
you’ve already purchased.
