Tried, now saying this windows live id is associated with a different gamertad. Enter another windows live id and password. We deleted the gamertag on the console but when pulling it up on the computer, the gamertag is still showing to this id.

It took them five years to fix BF2 , so id pull up a chair.............its going to be a long wait

This actually is possible, although incredibly rare. You can call Xbox Support, provide your Windows Live ID that seems to be connected to 2 gamertags, and ask the phone representative if they happen to see 2 accounts linked to the same ID. If so, there
may be some kind of escalation available. It's up to their escalations department from there.

That, or you can change the Windows Live ID to your gamertag on the console by tapping the guide button > settings > account management > (move 2 panels to the right) > Account Security > Change Windows Live ID. Perhaps if you change the Windows Live ID
to your 'desired' gamertag on the console, it will then completely disassociate with the Windows Live ID that seems to be pulling the incorrect account up here on Xbox.com.

Actually you can access your console IDs online using your log in details so a thief can get that information. Moreover since you can purchase just about everything from the marketplace on the website now your idea of using console IDs as a failsafe falls
apart. Also how would support be able to tell the difference between someone who genuinely had their account pinched and someone who was trying to pull a fast one? eg purchasing content on a friend's console then calling up claiming their account had been
stolen exploiting your console ID checking system.
