PUBG Refund? They are denying me and this game runs like absolute trash on my Xbox one.

I bought Pubg last tuesday. I have never played this game before and had no idea what to expect, but I knew it was very popular.

After getting it I tried to get a refund the very same day because the FPS was so low and I could barely play. When parachuting into the maps I was bouncing on the roofs and getting stuck in walls all while being shot by other players ( I assume who had
the One X) when I couldn't even see a gun on the ground yet to pick up.

Now MS is telling me to go pound salt because their terms say I can't return a digital item. Which is fine and dandy, except the game doesn't even run right to begin with. After researching the issue it's not a big secret either is it? And yet they are
still denying me.

I've went through all the tech support, the xbox resets, cache clearing, and the whole 9 yards only to get a pole rammed up my backside.

The terms where people can't get their money back for a game is absolute bs! I can't believe the community stands up for such a policy. I've never returned a game prior to this since I've bought my Xbox.

Why won't they just honor my refund? I mean seriously? They should honor all customer refunds. I could see if I played the game for a week, but I asked for it the SAME day.

I also see when I search google that they did give people refunds earlier in the year? So, why has that changed now?

The PUBG fiasco

As a long standing xbox live member I'd like to express my disappointment at developers of PUBG who have seemingly took the money and run in the biggest exit scam in xbox history.

I believe that microsoft has a duty to take them to task due to the exclusivity deal and marketing that suckered us into the purchase of a broken game. MS should force them to optimise and debug the game so it's in a playable state.

The "game" has been trash since day 1 and still isn't fit for purpose. The developers are certainly not short of the funds to fix the game considering how much they raked in from the xbox platform alone. I notice that within that time they have developed
and released the free mobile version which runs better than the xbox version I might add, pursued Epic in a legal battle, added multiple maps, all whilst leaving in bugs and terrible network and performance issues.

To add insult to injury they have even had the audacity to implement a free to play transaction structure into the game we paid for in droves!!! It is without a doubt my most negative experience on the xbox platform, akin to Sony's No Man's Sky fiasco.

I would like a refund, I feel like we're all certainly entitled to one.

Are you sure about that? Tencent is a games publisher not a developer. Either way it makes little difference. The developer will have several different teams working on different versions of the game. The team that works on the mobile
game won't be the same one that works on the Xbox or the PC version.

The mobile version works on totally different hardware and will thus have different development tools, the game runs on a different engine to the console version. This why these games differ.

My last little play on PUBG was great, albeit I'm playing on an Xbox One X though.

I do apologize for the inconvenience, unfortunately as the Refunds policy did change the only option you would have would be to go through the

Refund Request Form. Once you have gone through this of course, If you are being denied the refund then my only other suggestion would be to reach out to
Xbox Customer Support Team so that you can get this issue looked at.

I know it's very frustrating I couldn't get a refund either

 

They need to lighten up on their return policy. It's not very consumer friendly.

 

I got my refund. It took an act of congress, calling into every Microsoft number I could and filing a BBB complaint against them. Even the BBB complaint initially got denied, but I provided photo evidence of the performance and texture issues to the BBB
complaint.

Don't let them steal your money. The hassle wasn't really worth the $30 I got back, but I'll be damned if they rob me and tell me I can't have my money back for a poor product.

It's pretty sad that after 2 decades of gaming between me and my kids, xbox's, xbox 360's, xbox ones and thousands in games they tried to nickel and dime me for $30.
