    PUBG is Overheating My X1X, but Only When I Play in 1080


    While playing PUBG in 1080 resolution, the video output starts to flash green horizontal lines and black screen. Starts at the parachute drop and escalates until the screen goes completely black and my display doesn’t register a video input.



    The symptoms are indicative of an overheating gpu, and, when checked, intense heat is coming out the back of console. I have to shutdown the console and let it completely cool down before the video output will work again.



    Same issue occurs on HD monitor, HD TV, and 4K-capable TV; and with three different HDMI cables. It’s the strangest thing, because when I play in 4K, which one would thing would cause more stress on the console, there is no problem at all.



    I’ve had the console and game since early January, and have been playing pretty consistently since (over 4 days game time). Issue started yesterday, and doesn’t happen with any other games.

    Same issue here. Only partial game audio comes through...usually only my surroundings not myself. In PUBG I can hear others walking, faintly, but not myself. Same when driving a car in PUBG

    I had this same issue with my X1X and it was because the fan vent was blocked by my controller's battery charger so the console was overheating.
