Pubg final circle

My friend and I were playing pubg duos and he made it to the final circle. The other 2 players were no where around and when the circle collapsed my friend died and we got 2nd. How is this possible?

i am on this level and defeated all the bad guys yet the mission will not end.

i read up on this glitch and found out its a known fault and all you need to do is go to the left of the main door and it will drop the next containers,but it doesn`t.

i have left the arena as well and come back and still no luck.

anyone know of a way around this glitch other than the door method?

This happens to a lot of people. Including myself. The solution is to use a rocket launcher, aim at your feet and kill yourself. Then you will respawn, and when you come back into the arena, you'll only have to kill a few more guys and you will pass the
round.

 

My guess would be that they were closer to the middle of the circle and both on the same team.
