Psvr and the future of xb1

I know this is probably a sticky subject and it's one I've been mulling over for a while now and I thought I'd see what the general consensus is. I been xb since day one of the original console... That's not to say I haven't had other consoles, I had a
ps3 for a few years while owning a 360..but ultimately decided that I didn't use it enough to warrant keeping it as I've always preferred the xb ecosystem and experience. But I have to admit with the advent of vr on the horizon I'm beginning to wonder and
worry about the future of the brand, there's no doubt ms still have a solid platform and they are committed but if vr take s off like I hope it does and it makes a big opening into gaming how is ms going to handle it, I don't think holo lens is the answer
(I could be wrong), but if vr does take off and it becomes a mainstay of the ps4, xb could get left way behind.. And that worries me. So I'm now wondering if it's time I should maybe take another look at Sony and the ps,l if thats going to be the only way
I can use vr on a console. Anyways what does everyone else think?

NextGen console

The media room of the future will have both an XB1 and a Steambox. PS4 is odd man out: Not as full-featured as XB1, and not as powerful as Steambox.

Should I get an Xbox 360 or Xbox One?

I'd recommend the XB1 - it has more options overall (not necessarily games though - yet) and is set up for the future, whereas the future of the 360 is uncertain.

Personally, I am not overly concerned about VR as I believe it will be several years before VR is mainstay in the gaming market.

I agree... I don't see it becoming a mass adopted platform this year.. But of MS isn't in the game and it does take off then I think they could be in real trouble. That's what worries me. If me, a die hard xb owner, is now starting to contemplate jumping
ship then how easy is going to be for the general and casual person getting into it to decide on the platform that gives them access vr on a console.

The cross-platform and console streaming (IMHO) could be the most recent future. VR is still at the beginning and it's still necessary to develop it well (PSVR succeeds in part, but it isn't revolutionary).

I absolutely love VR, psvr was good for the limited power, pc vr is awsome, but xbox, will most likely never get full mainstream support, they may support third party headsets in the future but doubt they will invest in it.

I hate to say it because This is an Xbox site but Resident Evil Biohazard on PSVR has and will always have a place in my heart. Absolutely terrifying but at the same time breathtaking to see how far video games have come. VR is the future and I am absolutely
okay with it.
