PS4 is linked to an account that doesn't exist?

Hi, thanks for the reply. The game is Minecraft. Attached is an image of the error with the Microsoft account name (the one that doesn't exist) blocked out. I get this error after following the in-game menu option to "Sign in with a Microsoft Account" and signing in with this account

1) What game is this happening in? Every game is different with how they link up so just need some clarification

2) Would you kindly be able to send a screen shot of the error you are receiving? Please block all personal information including gamer tags when submitting the picture. You can add the picture as a reply to this thread.

So, looks like we need to break the link somewhere and then relink the appropriate accounts. Have you tried logging into the PlayStation account in question and remove the Microsoft link from that direction?

You should be able to see what accounts are linked to your Sony account here

The other option would be that we can look at account recovery options on the other account that says doesn't exist. You can check out this site for resources on this. I recommend this as an option because we can change any associated accounts until we can get you signed into it.

I believe you can only link one PSN account to one Minecraft account, if you disconnect it, I don't believe you will be able to link another PSN account to it.

I took this from the Minecraft site:

"WARNING: Once a Microsoft account has been linked to a PlayStation account, neither the Microsoft account nor the PlayStation Network account can be associated with a different account.

If you choose to unlink accounts, then purchases will be returned to the account that made the purchase. Even after unlinking, Microsoft and PlayStation accounts can only be re-linked to the original account."

If when you try to fill the recovery form you also receive a message that your account does not exist, unfortunately you will not be able to recover your account.

No Microsoft employee can help users recovering their accounts. They only instruct you on how to fill the recovery form. They are not allowed and have no access to change anything on a user account. I hope you understand.
