Proper Xbox 360 HDD for Xbox Original Games

I recently purchased and installed a AGPtek 250GB 250G Hard Disk Drive HDD for Microsoft Xbox 360
in order to play some original Xbox games that are on the supported list. When I try to start the game it says unable to download game. Is the AGPtek the right HDD and if so, how do I get to play my Xbox games?

Xbox 360 4GB Slim Backwards Compatability

So, I was an idiot recently and purchased an Xbox Original game off of the Xbox live Marketplace, but I am unable to play it due to the fact that I don't have an official Xbox 360 HDD. I DID buy a 250GB HDD a while back off of Amazon for about $50, but it
turns out that it was a third party HDD and does not have the proper emulation software required to play Xbox Originals. Oh well...

So tell me, if I go and shell out an extra $99 buck to get an official Xbox 360 Slim 250GB HDD, will I without a doubt be able to play the Xbox Originals on my console?

By the way, I have an Xbox 360 4GB Slim.

Oh and where can I purchase a true Xbox 360 Slim HDD that has the proper emulation software built into it? Walmart? GameStop?

 

Trouble Playing Original Xbox Games On Xbox 360

Hello, a while back, I tried to play Halo 1 and 2 on my Xbox 360. I have the Xbox 360 Slim 4GB console. I was told I needed a proper HDD to play original Xbox games, so I picked up an official Microsoft 250GB HDD for $50, but now when I try to run the
game, it says "The game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again." Am I supposed to download the game somehow? I looked online and it seems that the game SHOULD run on my console because I do have the right HDD. Why can't I play?

 

No. Only an official MS brand hard drive will work for Original Xbox games as it has the emulation software required to run the games.
