I was trying to get into my xbox live account when i received a message saying i cant because it cant, i had to re-download it and once i did it was changed to something i didn't decide on, "greatjoey23394" its what i am named. I understand that my previous
gamer tag might not have been appropriate, but its not fair that i dont have a say in what my new gamer tag is going to be.

Reasoning On Gamer tag Change

Why was my Gamer tag changed? Can i get it back? Every time i download my profile my gamer tag is changed! This is very very frustrating and i hate paying 10$ every time i download my profile. Please respond ASAP to help we with this problem.

Gamer tag randomly changed

I logged onto xbox live and went to sign in and it said I have to download my profile again. I entered in my information then my gamer tag was all a sudden JollyKid3626959. I never got a warning or a notification saying that my gamer tag changed. I would
like to change my gamer tag to something else for free.

Sorry, but that is the new policy for forced name changes. You'll have to pay if you want to change it to something else.

its absurd, new policy or not, no one should have to pay for a "forced" name change, its the second time that i have to change my name and the first time i chose it, rules say my name is inappropriate when it took them over 2 years to catch it, when it was
way more offensive than the first they made me change, i see offensive names all over and none get taken down, you have one job, so do it right!

the policy was changed cause people would create a new name just as bad this Lives way of getting the bad tags off the service fast. if you seen tags as bad as yours report them there are so many accounts out there that the enforcement team does not see
them all but if you report it they can act on it that much faster.

Why did my gamer-tag change? It really didn't offend nobody ( BIgBOyLuvMiLPhz )it was a funny gamer-tag to make people laugh and this was my first time actually getting reported. My friends gamer-tag were funny but when they got reported they had to change
there gamer-tag to something else or they couldn't play live at all and you gave them a (FREE GAMER-TAG CHANGE), how come I cant get that opportunity to change my gamer-tag?
