Promotional Money Expiration

I have money in my Microsoft account that expires on June 7th, not realizing they didn't allow me to put it towards a pre-order several weeks ago because it said it went through. Does anyone know if the money expiring on the 7th could still be spent on the
7th? Or would it have to be all spent on the 6th?

Promotional points you may have received do have an expiration.

Promotional rewards points do have expiration dates. The expiration time is usually listed in the terms in conditions. Do you know how long you had them?

One is likely promotional credit, like you'd get from MS Rewards, that expires,

The other money is likely money you added which does not expire

Promotional credit is separate from money that you yourself have put in, as it is subject to expiration, while the money that you have put on is not

If you have credit from rewards or other promotions it shows up separately, as that credit expires, while credit you added yourself with money will never expire

If you do things, like Microsoft, or words, promotional credit you get from there does expire, and that is almost certainly the second amount. Money you add from a gift card does not expire.
