Promotional game code already used.

I purchased an xbox one and it came with a promotional code for a full download of Forza Horizon 2. I opened the xbox, set it all up, and then when I entered the code it said it has already been used. I called xbox support and they instructed me to post
this here.

it shows as silver on the console and website still even after signing out of both and downloading the account

But you have to be careful. This 48h memberships are often promotion codes. Sometimes they already used. Or expired.

Hi, out of curiosity was this a pre-owned game? If it was the chances are it has already been redeemed. Promotional codes (as already stated) are often for a limited period of time.

The codes were given out as part of a promotion. If you purchased Fallout 4 for Xbox One, you would receive a code for Fallout 3. The code should still work for the 360 though since it is a 360 game.

If you received the code as part of that promotion, you could try posting here -

However, since the code has already been used it may not be possible to get an exchange and if you were not the one who took part in the promotion you may not be able to get the code exchanged.

If you received the game as a physical disc and the case advertises the codes, then there should be some codes in the game case. If the game was purchased used, it's possible the previous owner already used them. If it was purchased new, you would have to
get in touch with the retailer it was purchased from for an exchange.

If you received the game digitally, the promotion ended December 31, 2016, so you would no longer be eligible to receive the codes.
