    Promoting/Removing a Child Account.

Hello, my name is Alex and here is my issue:

I would like to have access to privacy settings and all the settings (not sure of their names) that are allowed to a parent account. During the first creation of my xbox live account, I might've mis-interpreted the "parent account" addition, assuming it
meant the billing address information portion and not that it had a "guardian" type of setting. My microsoft account linked to my xbox live account's date of birth is over the age of 18 but for some reason my account is still clarified as a "child account".
I would like to know how to change my account to either an adult (parent) account or simply remove myself as a child account as being a child account restricts me from in-game add-ons even know my xbox 360 console privacy settings allow me to do everything
(a.k.a all the options are on allowed and not blocked/etc). I have complete access to the parent account's email and password for xbox live and it's safe to say my mother doesn't treat me as a child anymore.

    :)

  2. Can't change privacy settings/use other features

You can remove a child by either promoting it (over 17) from the child account's Account Management, or by removing the parent/child relationship entirely from the parent account.

    Promoting a child account

I have a problem with my account. I'm unable to login since I cannot agree to the new ToS because it requires verification from my parent account. I don't remember any of the details for the parent account and can't thus remove the link between the accounts
    or promote the child account.

I have been in contact with the Windows Live team and according to them, the account isn't showing up as a child account on their side. I'm having problems logging into Games for Windows- titles for example. I don't own an Xbox which would make this procedure
way easier since its not possible to do the promoting from the Xbox account management page.

Help with this issue would be much appreciated. Thank you.
