Promo code

I received an xbox one promo code but I can't seem to find where to use it. It says that at checkout to use the promo code but I don't seem to be able to find the promo code box. It just shows me the game the price the info for where there billing and a
confirm button. Is it after I confirm the purchase because it tells me I'll be billed immediately and I'd rather not pay for a game that I could get for free with the code. and it's not a 25-digit code so I can't load the money to my account then use it, it
has to be done at purchase. Does anyone have experience with this and could possible lend some expertise?

I'm applying the promo code. It takes $20 off at first, but after I enter all my info, it says there's an issue with the promo code.

A promo code like that would be for use at microsoftstore.com. It wouldn't be one you can use on the Xbox marketplace.

 

I thought that as well, but when trying to buy a game off the microsoftstore.com website it still redirects you to store.xbox.com and at purchase it still doesn't show a promo code option for me. unless I jut can't buy games with the promo code but since
it's a microsoft promo code, basically a digital gift card I don't see why I wouldn't be able to.

 

That's odd. microsoftstore.com shouldn't redirect you to xbox.com. Since this is a promo code for them, you will need to contact their customer support for assistance.

 

Included in the particular Xbox One that I purchased, were several promo codes. None are the required "25" characters, and it's making it impossible to redeem any of them.
