Promo Code Region Error

Upon chatting with an Xbox rep, it was discovered that the promotional codes sent to my email for two preorders were sent with the wrong region. When I try to redeem the codes there is an error saying the region I am in does not match the code. I would
like to have the tokens I received checked. Thanks!

Problems with redeeming the code for 800 MS points

What region is the 800 MSP code from? If it is from a different region than your account, it will not redeem (MSP codes are region locked).

Is that a RETAIL MSP card? Or is it a promo code? Promo MSP codes expire after a certain amount of time (and MSP itself has been discontinued for awhile).

TheAngelman1991: That is a completely different error code, so it is definitely not the same issue. That issue most likely suggests a billing violation. You should contact
phone support in your region regarding the issue.

As for other users still getting the 80190126 error, please tell me exactly what promo you are trying to do (length, price, any promo offerings), and the region on your account. Let me know that you are still getting these errors, and I will pass it

If you are receiving a region error, then its usually because your physical location and your account's region are not matching, and that's why you are receiving this error.

If you are, then you will need to make sure your account matches your physical location to be able to redeem it. If you haven't already, please change your region to match your physical location, and then try again. (support.xbox.com/.../change-region)

Thanks for the response! I have actually tried that...My region setting on the xbox is US and the games I preordered were successfully sent to me, in the US.. but the prepaid codes are under the region Ireland. So the codes do not match my appropriate
region
