Projector Double Power Off no longer working

The feature to send a double power off to my Epson 750HD projector is no longer working. It appears that the xbox is either sending only one power off signal or the signals are being sent to quickly together. The projector sits and waits for the second power
off signal and never turns off. This was behaving fine before the recent November update for the "New Xbox One Experience". I have toggled the setting in console admin from one to double many times but to no avail.

    :)

Turning Projector Off with Xbox One

    Hi,

I have an Optoma HD25-LV projector (though my question applies to almost any projector). The projector requires the 'Power Off' signal to be sent twice to turn the projector off. First off, the Xbox One doesn't have my projector model as an option, but when
I use the next closest option (HD 66), it sends the power off signal only once. Is there any way to configure it so it can send the dual signal needed to turn the projector off?

    Thanks

    Hi WeissCracker,

Sounds like there is a bug with this, if you're selecting your Make and Model from the list of options. Try going through the power settings again and re-selecting your device. If that doesn't work, then I would check and see if there is an option on the
Epson 750HD to power off with a single command. If that's not available , try running through some other projectors that share a similar frequency for power and require the double power off.

If none of those work, you'll likely need to wait for an update to come out which resolves this.

  5. I have a Optoma HD131Xe projector and I am having same problem after the Nov update of the new "xbox experience" 2015. I have contacted tech support and they keep trying to get me to reload my entire system to factory settings. I have done that twice and
to no avail. This is a bug and should be reported as such but I do not know how to do that. I have tested it extensively and it works about 1 in 20 times. I have also tested it with my Optoma portable led project and it does exactly the same thing.

If you change your Xbox One's power mode to "Energy Saving" instead of "Instant On" this will work again. There seems to be a bug in the new dashboard that prevents double-off from working reliably when the console's using the Instant On setting.

    XBox not turning off Projector

Hi, I'm no expert with projectors, I did take a look for the remote codes for that projector so you could manually enter the remote code on the Xbox but didn't have much luck, however if you go into
settings-display-messages on the projector and turn messages off does that then stop that second power button request message to power off the projector and then allow the Xbox to power the projector off ?
