@Tzar..why don't you find a new hobby besides telling people what hobby they should have? Nice arrogant comment..but ya if I dislike a few games or companies practices then I'm not going to give up my hobby..."bright" one. Also a few games doesn't make
up my whole perception on gaming as a whole...cry much when you see someone bash your favorite little kiddy game?

 

I've seen some really creative and nice play on Sparks, but it's not for everyone.

It's all up to the person in charge to create what he can. And if he wants to micro trans, let them.

Why on earth get upset about such a thing when you are not even playing it? Just wierd, man

 

Exactly @Angry Im not the most creative person myself but i still managed to complete the tutorial without it asking me to buy a hero, there was plenty of textures and characters to muck around with.

Also this is a Free to play model and its quite a powerful tool, Rushed lol fools.

If i was more creative i would happilly pay some cash to use its more advanced themes /characters to support the Devs making such an open app for the community.

The best part is its free to play anyones creation and see what people can do.

Obviously this is Below and Wilds grasping at straws once again for anything negative.

Im really not sure what they want from gaming anymore. Seriously guys take a good hard look at yourselves.

 

It's definitely not for me in terms of creating games. I don't have the time/patience to do it and I don't think I'd be able to make anything good even if I did.

I'm certainly interested to see what other people make with it though.

As for the microtransactions, from what I understand it works like this: -

As a game creator, you have a ton of free assets you can use to create your game, but there are also paid assets too.

As a player, if you play a game that was made entirely out of free assets, it's free to play with no limits. If you play a game that has paid assets in it that you haven't bought via micro-transactions, you can play for 30 minutes and that 30 minutes resets
every day.

I'm still not 100% clear on how it all works, but that's the basic gist of it AFAIK.

in all fairness. i'm sure some of the 46 million + people who play minecrat wuld gladly enjoy playing this game

 

I love PS. It's a great game engine that allows for some pretty elaborate code. I've developed a few games since I got into beta and it gave me hope for Microsoft that's until I realized the Micro transactions. Now you can do your dailies and somehow farm
up enough coin to purchase most of these in-game items, but it seems like very much a chore.

Even after developing several games in two weeks time I only mustered about lvl 6 and not nearly enough coin to purchase any big DLC. I also run into a lot of glitches where the "challenges" aren't calculated correctly and I'm not awarded any coin. I've
since switched development over to the PC (Windows 8.1 on my laptop) and enjoyed that far better.

All in all it's a great idea ruined by Microtransactions. This could be a way to attract people to Xbox Gold allowing us to make and play games with each other. Instead it's just another money pit brought to you in-part by Microsoft.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love this product, but it was quickly ruined for me.

It's like a Facebook game. It gives you enough to get hooked and then BAM it wants money.

You might want to tone down your comments to others a bit, OP, especially since you are an Ambassador and a member of this community. If someone has different opinion than you and explains them in a proper manner without insulting, then there is no need
to be snarky or post the way you are.

 

LOL i dont care if people dont like it or not but the microtransaction thing is false. You just expect stuff for free my friend. These guys have built a great platfirm for paeople to build games. Shame on them for wanting to make money from that yeah?

Would you have rathered you payed full price and then found out you cant build a game to save your life and then cant trade that game in like you seemed to want?

You can do plenty with this app all without spending a penny. You post about not getting past the tutorial without spending money was a total ham up for the forum.
