Project Scorpio Ed One X Optical drive

I am a long time Xbox supporter, soon celebrating 15 years on Live. Initial adopter of OG Xbox, 360, the Xbox One and I am invested enough to have been up and able to order your flag ship Scorpio edition One X. However, less than 2.5 years after delivery
the optical drive has broken making my physical collection redundant.

I am sorely let down. This is a £450 piece of kit and the components are so shabby they fall apart less than 3 years on? On an premium device presented at E3 for us enthusiasts. More over to add insult to injury I've now been quoted a further £240 for
a replacement as it's technically out of warranty for what is likely a non-Scorpio standard box. This really does seem harsh on those who put trust in your words and your products to pay a premium for a sub-par unit.

This isn't the build quality of the MS I've come to know over the years. I'll certainly be looking to upgrade to the new Series X come holiday season but i'm definitely rethinking my position on being an initial adopter.

Not sure what you're trying to say here with this little pep talk and the 'oh well, it was bound to happen anyway' is just not the right attitude. That's a pound store attitude, not a Microsoft store attitude.

I have a OG Xbox, a 360 & a Day 1 One all that have working optical drives. To have sub-par components on a super premium product advertised at E3 is shoddy. End of. Not at all acceptable.

If i wanted digital games, don't you think i would have bought them digitally? I couldn't care less what other people adhere to and if I buy a product that is manufactured with an optical drive in mind, I don't expect it to **** out after a mere 36 months.

I am sorry for going through this, when a console of ours breaks we were really disappointed, even more when the warranty is gone, unfortunately electronic products are doomed to one day happen, but we do not expect it to be as fast as yours, I hope to
get one solution to solve your problem, good luck, don't get discouraged,maybe if you sell yours in the state you are in, you can add the rest to buy another new one, digital games run normally, it’s not, it’s a Scorpio edition all digital, many people only
adhere to digital.

project Scorpio is an Xbox one X, and it is not compatible with series games.

I believe it was "Xbox" or whatever the deafault was for the Xbox One X Scorpio Edition, but then I changed it to Project Scorpio.
