Project Cars

"Forza 5" and "Forza Horizon" do a lot of things better than "Project Cars".

They had a much bigger budget.

They built their rep on being a racing SIM game and then acclimatized themselves to a wider audience.

It's probably fair to say that overall, both "Forza 5" and "Forza Horizon" are better games than "Project Cars".

But when it comes to the best racing game on the ONE then they both got lapped by "Project Cars" in terms of tracks, cars, career options and racing options.

That being said there's nothing wrong with enjoying "Forza"'s current more casual style. I think I mentioned earlier that if "COD" and "Battlefield" handled like realistic shooters they wouldn't have the audience they have.

 

It certainly looks awesome.

A lot of racers on the horizon....including Horizon 2 lol!

 

Phew, that is a though one. Forza has been a really solid racing simulator for a while now. By acclimation it is regarded as the best racing sim. With that being said, can "Project CARS" top Forza? It is possible. But then would Forza 6 surpass Project
Cars? I believe so

 

Just my problem is when you get too realisted you lose the fun part fo playing a game.

 

Didn't look very realistic to me when I was checking gameplay out yesterday.

It looks like a twitch reflex racing game. Is everyone tryn to be like cod or what.

Still though the tracks and scenery captured me. Does this have a release date yet cause I was checking around and it seems this is Ps4 only.

 

Maybe visualy,but so far nobody beats TOCA (and Formula 1) from back in the days.

These games were closer to realitic racing simulation.

Flat tires,loose a wheel after an accident,broke engine or gear box by pushing the limits,managing racing stategy (pit stop,gas,wet tires),weather effects,night and day,....

I guess,Project Cars will be good as Forza,but without drivatars.....

 

Project Cars is trying to appeal to both the PC sim racers (comparing it to iRacing) and the console crowd (Forza comparison). If they do a realistic sim the console crowd will turn away from it (especially with the lack of wheel support for the One), if
they give the PC crowd a Forza 5 they won't buy it.

I'd personally prefer they had just stuck with the PC. We need a good single player sim (most of us are still racing old SimBin titles) and I don't think it's possible to please both groups in a single game. Most likely a multiplatform release will mean
limited features on the PC version ( lack of support for button boxes, tablets apps, add-ons, etc).

Fingers crossed they make everyone happy.
