I've been playing it on the PC since yesterday. My wheel pedals aren't being recognized (known issue waiting for patch) so I've been using a controller.

I wouldn't put it up there with the top PC racing sims in the realism/physics category but it's a good sim. That being said if you're the type of person that likes Horizon or the NFS series you probably want to avoid it.

Lots of people have bought the PC version that appear to be console gamers because there are lots of complaints about car handling being difficult and they were hoping for Forza type handling. The number of people using controllers rather than wheels on
the PC seems to be very high but I'm seeing numerous complaints from wheel users about "floaty" cars and bad FFB. The controller works fine after playing with the setting a little.

Only concerns I have at this point is the AI, very aggressive at higher settings and does weird things at lower settings ( early braking, won't hold line, etc). Multiplayer may be region locked, we aren't seeing lobbies from other regions which could be
a game killer if it's not a glitch.

    @pkvas

That's the difference between a sim and arcade racer, Sims are only the real world cars available for each series and the tracks. When you start adding more cars you lose the realism and end up with VW Bugs in GT series races.

I got to play for a little bit today on PC and personally I'm not sure yet how I feel about it. The only other simulator I play if Forza Motorsport 5. Forza 5 still looks and sounds much better, but Project Cars seems to have more tracks and weather effects
make things more realistic and challenging. Project Cars feels even more realistic as far as physics and car behaviors go, I think because of that it generally feels slower than driving in Forza 5, but I really only had about 20 minutes with it and those are
just early impressions. Also, early on, there seem to be less cars (at least that I saw, I only played free practice mode so far), and one thing that was especially disappointing to me is that there are no Porsche, just like in Forza it's Ruf, I was hoping
    they'll have them.

Thanks for the heads up Randver. I do enjoy racing sims such as (numerical) GT and Forza . I will look more into Project Cars

I am not hearing much good about it as far as playing with a controller. I think I will wait for a patch before I ask again.

    Hey @fyerball72

I'm playing with a controller and it feels fine.

So I've been playing some more and here is an update:

I'm still exploring the game, but I started playing a Career mode, and I like it so far. It had practice laps, qualifying laps, pit stopping, a race calendar, a guy telling me when someone is trying to overtake me (a spotter), I got minor time penalties
for going off the track couple of times... so in the career mode, I definitely like realism.

Graphics are really nothing to write home about though, I have everything maxed out on PC and it looks just OK.

Honestly I'm super stoked for Project Cars and I'm sure I'll play it quite a bit for a week before The Witcher comes out, but I'll still continue playing Project Cars throughout the weeks ahead when I'm taking breaks from The Witcher.

Fords is a racing sim? I am having a little trouble racing without stability control on using the controller. But other than that I am having fun. The kart races can be crazy. Graphically it is the best racing game I have seen. I feel like the damage is
a little extreme. Even a slight touch seemed to require me to return to the pits as I apparently had aerodynamic problems. Ignored him and finished 2nd lol
