    Hello, Recently Project Cars was released and I would like to know why the Xbox One, doesnt have an output option for 900p?

    Project Cars on Xbox One is running at 900p 60fps, but my Xbox one, can only display 720p or 1080p.............why?

    How does the xbox one confuse my TV into thinking its receiving 1080p?

    Are there any plans from Microsoft to release a better more powerful Xbox One?

    Project Cars - Resolution

    The Xbox upscales to 1080p for games running at lower resolution or downscales to 720p depending on what setting you put your console on.

    May as well run your console in 1080p and let it handle everything else. You don't lose frames because of upscaling.

    Microsoft won't release a different console until "Xbox Two", the Xbox One will go through different versions but none will be "more powerful" as that defeats the purpose of a standardised hardware that consoles have.

    Microsoft does keep unlocking more power for developers but most aren't using it to its full even Slightly Mad Studios. The bottleneck on the Xbox One is the GPU, so while it has a more powerful CPU it is limited on pushing graphics around your screen. The
    PS4 has faster GPU but less CPU grunt.

    Also, while Sony gets developers to make their games run in 1080p (because they know the mass market only cares about the highest number) they often do it at the cost of frame rate drops where as the Xbox One has stable frame rates at a lower resolution.

    I'd rather have stable 900p/60fps than 1080p with frame rate drops into the 30's.

    1080p/60fps is obviously possible on the Xbox One as Turn 10 and Playground Games managed it with impressive results in Forza.

    I just dont understand why the Xbox one doesnt have that option. The game is in 900p, thats what I want to see it in.

    Why has Microsoft *** up the multiplayer in Project Cars??? SlightlyMad say its down to 1st party reasons.....1st party is Microsoft.

    Are Microsoft worried people will stop playing forza?

    Id like a NEXT gen console, not an upgraded 360 entertainment centre.
