Looks soo good, i hope it lives up to the hype after the dissapointment of Driveclub and FH2 actually being FH1.5.

I need that stand out racer in my life

 

It does look good.

The thing that concerns me baring in mind it's early days but I've been following this game closely and I've heard quite a few that have played early build say it doesn't quite play as good as it looks, the main gripe seems to be the handling, a lot of people
saying the cars feel very floaty on track.

Hopefully any niggles can be sorted for release but with a bit of luck this and Forza 6 will make 2015 a great year for racing fans.

 

The complaints about the handling were caused by the developers changing the force feedback build week to week and we never knew what to expect. There were times even with a racing rig/wheel I couldn't keep the car on the track due to FFB changes. They need
to nail that for the PC crowd but won't impact the console version nearly as much.

The biggest concern I had was that the game felt like a sim one month and an arcade racer the next. Some of the people that stayed in the beta till the end said they seemed to have found a balance between the two with the settings.

Some of the developers worked on GT Legends and GTR2 so they have the experience to turn out an excellent racer. iRacing just came to Steam increasing the player base and we have Assetto so they have competition on the PC but if they hit the mark on the
console difficulty this could be the best racer we've ever seen on the consoles..

Personally I love all typed of racers, arcade - to all out sims but I know a few friends say they might be put off by Project Cars if it leans too much towards the sim side, I don't think console racers might be ready for that lol

Either way I'm really looking forward to March

 

I played this game at EGX last year i also played driveclub and this game felt like it drove worse then driveclub )this isnt a gripe at driveclub btw) i just hope it is diff this is a day one for me though

Looks decent but will it be as good as Forza? If it creates a decent career mode and the cars handle good I'll give it a try.

@boas really don't get the FH2 comment and especially it being in the same sentence as Driveclub.

 

I want to see more, but it looks almost as if Forza's about to have even more serious competition.

 

I hope it gives Forza some serious competition, that will mean Turn 10 having to give us something even better than they already do

 

This thread shows the uphill battle the developers will have making two platforms happy that have very different expectations.

The PC crowd is already upset that modding won't be supported, they don't want or care about a career mode, physics and MP (league support, etc) is all that matters.

The console crowd will expect a career mode and the other fluff we normally see in console racers. They'll want a 1000 cars and a hundred tracks. Most console gamers think of Forza as a "sim" so bringing a PC style sim to the console will be an eye opener.
Finding common ground between wheels and controllers is nearly impossible (Forza 2 probably did it best).

This is one of those genres (just like RTS's) that developing for two platforms is extremely risky. It's very hard to make everyone happy and very easy to have both sides give the game a "meh" and move on.

 

I am mostly interested in the Karting aspect of this one.
