project cars delayed AGAIN!!!

yh im going from vagas to LA now

 

There was some speculation yesterday in some of the sim forums that it was a licensing issue with two of the tracks in the game. The tracks were named in the forums ( forgot which two they were) so apparently people had known there was some issues with those
specific tracks before the delay.

That would make sense with it being only a two week delay but what would make even more sense is you have the rights to use the tracks before you put them in the game.

the PC community have absolutely panned the Beta for it

I though *** handled and played really well at EGX last year, but im not holding out much hope anymore

 

I hope it is only the two tracks, i need a new racing game after being a little dissapointed in FH2

 

Another reason the PC community is upset because they aren't supporting modding which is a must to expand the sims lifespan on the PC.

And a lot of PC sim racers took Project Cars off their radar and headed to this a couple weeks ago

If console gamers take a wait and see approach to it now too....game may be DOA.

 

^^ Exactly - the game is trying to be a PC Sim but catering to Console gamers.

In my opinion you cant have it both ways on a game like this as one community is going to get shafted

 

Being that I'm a MASSIVE racing fan I won't take the wait and see approach lol and it will still be a day one buy.

Like a few of you folks mentioned above, lets just hope the delay was only because of an issue with the 2 tracks and nothing to do with the actual gameplay.

Unlike Mr Boas I wasn't disappointed with FH2 but I need another more serious/sim like racer and I'm keeping my fingers crossed Project Cars is the one.

Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco Games Europe today confirmed that Project Cars has been delayed until April 2nd 2015. The slight shift of the release date is due to final adjustments in the game, that are required to provide to the fans
with the best gaming experience they could have.

It doesn't sound like just a track/licence issue???

 

But what do you fix in two weeks? The games been in beta for years. If they are going to make changes after the beta ended that can't be tested and just release the game....scary.

How much time do they need prior to release to press disc and package? Day one patch? I think from a PR/marketing standpoint it would have been better for them to be a little more specific in the reason for the delay.

 

^ I agree, I mean I don't know how it all works but I can't see them doing much in 2 weeks.

I'm going to look at release dates to see if there's any other games due the same time ( before the delay ) just wonder if it's a case of not wanting to release along side other titles? Mind you, if that was the case then that's not a good sign in my opinion,
if your confident in your product then release away!

 

Would have been a pc day one for me if nodding was allowed but as it ain't its a console purchase

GTA V release for the PC (3/24) was brought up in the sim forums as a possible cause...seems strange to me. I'd think it would be a completely different demographic but who knows.

Seriously though, i am having major doubts about this game now. I hope it delivers (please god let it deliver) but as metioned if something isnt right with the game is 2 weeks enough to fix it or will we ave a ACU situation on our hands?

Was a day one for me, now i think i will wait and see. May pick up Forza 5 first.

No mod required for that. PC version supports Track IR so you can choose helmet cam and nod all you like.
