    Progressive Sound Delay


    I have been having an ongoing problem for quite a while. The longer I have the XB1 on, and the longer I am watching a show, or movie, or even playing a game, I notice a progressively larger and large sound delay/lip sync issue. I thought I had read somewhere
    this was fixed, however no help on my end. Any assistance is appreciated.

    If I am playing a game for 3-4 hours and then swap over to my cable box or blu ray drive, the sound delay persists.

    What resolution to use on my 720p 32 in LG TV

    it seems you can use 720p and go to 1080i as 1080p is 1920x1080 so your not getting 1080p , i would personally always go with the highest progressive scan over interlaced any day and go with 720p over the 1080i as interlaced has a slight delay in the high
    textures where as progressive scan doesn't have this

    Xbox does not display in 1080p! HELP!

    set it to 720p in the meantime. there is more input delay when you deinterlace a 1080i signal to 1080p than upscaling an already-progressive 720p signal to 1080p. Besides you will get better motion performance with progessive than interlace on a flat-panel.

    Sorry to hear about the sound issue! Let's start with power cycling your Xbox One console and clearing the persistent storage off! To do that, follow these steps below:

    To power cycle the Xbox One console:

    • Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once the unit is powered off, unplug the power cable from the Xbox One and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Plug the power back into the unit and power the console on.
    To clear persistent storage, follow these steps:

    • Press the menu button on your Xbox One controller and select 'Settings'.
    • In the Settings menu, select Disc & Blu-ray settings.
    • From here, select Persistent storage and clear it.

    Audio is delayed when using DTS over optical.

    Just wanted to add my issue to this thread, I have an issue where system-wide the audio gets progressively more delayed the longer the console stays on. This happens regardless of where the sound is coming from, be it Hulu Plus, Netflix, a game, or my Cable
    TV. Over the course of two hours I would guess it becomes delayed about a 1/4 second, and gets worse over longer periods of time. The only solution is to reset the box and then there is no delay. This is just HDMI audio output on my TV speakers.
