Progress to all games wiped for no reason

    Progress to all games wiped for no reason


    Turned on my xbox today to realize that all my games have been wiped. Any progress not saved onto a server is now gone (singleplayer stuff). I know this is probably unfixable, but I want to know why this happened.

    the update erased almost everything

    A second update has been released that fixes most of the losses, played games are gone, but in progress games and stats are back, those who waited can also safely update without lost data. Microsoft really needs to catch this stuff BEFORE the update goes
    live... I've had all my farm frenzy progress wiped too and no fix was put out for that.

    No mans sky progress deleted

    I was playing no mans sky and got to 8 hours in the game and it crashed and wiped my progress. This is the second time it has happened as well so I am fuming.

    Sorry to hear it. I have a few questions to help get this sorted.

    1. What console do you have? FAT, S or E?

    2. What size hard drive are you using?

    3. Where did you purchase the hard drive?

    Thanks for the info. Had to be sure. I presume you bought the system new and not used. Have you tried removing the hard drive and then reinsterting it?

    If the drive was wiped there could be an issue with the drive itself or someone did it as a prank on you. If it was prank it was not a funny one.

    Apparently it IS you, not me. :). HTC 8x on TMO. Good thing it did not seem to wipe out my XBOX achievements in the game. BTW seems to have also wiped out all in progress games as well.
