Profiles and Saves Gone after update

Hello.

I was just forced to download the recent update on my Xbox 360 4GB S console. When the unit restarted, both my profiles and all saved data is missing, with the exception of data stored on USB stick. Under the storage settings the MU does not appear. Did
the recent update seriously just break the flash unit on my console, and if so why on the internal flash and not the independent USB stick? What is microsoft/Xbox doing to correct this issue as it seems unlikely to have just been mere coincidence. Any help?

I'm sorry to hear that Spanger24, lets try this step and see if this does anything.

On your Xbox one, go to settings> account> remove accounts> remove your account.

Once done then go to the home screen, scroll to the left and down to the gear and choose restart console.

When it's back on then add your profile and try to launch Minecraft and see if it loads your save please.

After an Xbox update last night my saves within Minecraft are no longer appearing. Any help is appreciated.

I can't speak on the update or on the saved files, but you can easily just redownload your profile from the startup/sign-in screen.

as far as I know there wasn't a recent update for the 360, but what may have caused this is a failure of the hard drive, whenever a hard drive fails, the console will think there is an update to download.

You could try removing and reinstalling the hard drive, to see if that fixes anything, see this steps here:

If that doesn't fix it then I'm afraid all data on their is lost.

Profile and digital purchased items can be redownloaded, but if save games were only located on the hard drive, I'm afraid those will be lost.

If the storage device shows as unformatted you need to format the hard drive to be recognized.

If the hard drive keeps loosing all data, you may want the get it replaced via

Thanks for the info. But, the Xbox 360 4GB S does not contain a hard drive. It uses an internal flash memory card to save all data. It is interesting to learn that when a hard drive fails it registers as an update. I no longer use hard drive to store data
as I have had several rather expensive models crash and burn, losing thousands of dollars in data. I've used paid cloud services before as well, only to experience similar issues. I now back up all data on multiple flash drives as well as on disk.... You live,

Well, I turned on the old hunk of junk today and guess what? All my profiles and saves have decided to return. Now I have multiples of the same profiles. Is there anyway to converge all the data back into one profile, or am I just going to have to figure
it out? No reply is necessary, I just thought it was an oddity worth sharing.
