Profile update problem

Discus and support Profile update problem in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have changed my gamertag on Xbox 360 and my profile wont update.     Profile update problem


    I have changed my gamertag on Xbox 360 and my profile wont update. It updated on my 360 obviously, same goes for my Microsoft account. But, it does not update it on the Xbox app (PC or Mobile). Help please.

    Profile update problem

    Hi, the gamertag name change could take some times to completely update across all your apps / device, it is also possible that in the first days you will see both new and old name in your account. My suggestion is to simply wait some days and it should
    update correctly everywhere.

    Fixed the problem by deleting all profiles (not data), clearing system updates and cache then restarting allowing system to update and then downloaded profiles.

    Yeah... I had the same problem... the hardware had my gamer profile... it wouldn't let up update... so I removed it... updated the system ... put the hardware back together... deleted the profile... recovered the profile... and wala problem solved.... thanks
