Profile sign out when controller dies

So ive had a problem with my controller dying and my profile signing me out while playing college football 25. Just lost progress on a full game because my controller died while it was ending lol, it's about the 5th times it's happened in the 6 weeks or so since the game came out. Don't remember this being a problem with other games, it's also probably time to replace my rechargeables but keeping them fully charged just shortens the life span so id rather not do that with new ones. Help please
