Profile/Sign in Problem...

Me and my cousin are trying to play some games but for some reason some don't let.We downloaded his profile to my Xbox One and A few 360 games I have on it let us play no problem but most of them keep telling us to sign him in on the home page.We do that
but when we go to play the game it then gives an error saying something like"profile didn't completely download" or something like that.What I don't get is why not all the games say that.Should we just delete then redownload his profile?Also for some reason
when we sign him in it always makes him first player and I can't figure out how to get me back as first player without signing him out,not A big issue but something that I'd rather see fixed.

Backwards compatibility question

You can login, make sure you are logged into a profile on your xbox one, then hit the back and start (view and menu) buttons in x360 mode... That brings up the option to sign into profiles and download profiles.

Even if you use another xbox 360 it should let you login to a xbox 360 profile and it should just say it was last signed in on another system. I'd make sure you are signed into a profile, if you are trying splitscreen stuff make sure your friend signs into his xbox one profile before then signing into his xbox 360 profile.

Awkward, but it works. Been busting up borderlands splitscreen in bc for a couple days.

profile sign in problem

Hello there!

You may want to try deleting and re-downloading your gamer profile. Here is a guide.

Deleting Your Profile:

Go to Settings, and then select System.

Select Storage.

Select All Devices.

Select Gamer Profiles.

Select the gamertag that you want to delete.

Select Delete.

Select one of the following:

Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.

Downloading Your Profile:

1. Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the centre of your controller).

2. Select Download Profile.

Note Not seeing Download Profile? Press X to sign out of your profile.

Sorry to hear about the profile issue! If the issue is continuing to occur, I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps:

First,
remove your cousins account from the Xbox One console.

Once you have removed their account, press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.

After your console has powered off, wait a few minutes and then power on your console.

Once your console has powered on, try signing in with your cousins account.

Try playing one of the affected games to see if the issue continues.

OK so hopefully this is the right place to post. I have several profiles on my xbox 360. Now we don't frequently use the console compared to many so not sure how the following happened.

I play LA Noire under my wife's user profile as we started the game together but I have carried on solo. Not normally a problem, however the most recent time we tried to log in against her profile we were prompted for her account username and password which
is tied to email address, my wife only uses one of three email addresses, however when trying all of these it says none of them are linked to the user profile on the console, but it must be!!!!

Anyway came onto this site and tried all 3 emails and none had the gamer tag associated as used on the console, this now means I can't access the save data, having scoured this forum and other sources it appears there is no way of moving game saves, however
is there anyway Microsoft can recover log in details for me or my wife by providing the gamer tag only so that I can access this profile once again?

Hi there,

I'm afraid that when a profile wants to be downloaded, it will need to be downloaded before connecting to Xbox Live, which will most likely result in loosing all offline progress that wasn't synchronized.
