    On 11/13 my younger sibling changed my xbox gamertag instead if creating their own. I tried to change it back and got an error saying “this gamertag is not allowed”, after doing some searching it seemed that I could change if using an xbox 360, which I did,
    but now it shows both gamertagz!! Anytime I join a party, or login it shows the one that they changed it to and not the one I paid to change it back to, and both are displayed on my profile. How do I get this resolved?? I called xbox suppirt the day it happened
    and they said to give it 48 to resolve itself, but now it has been four days! The gamertag that is supposed to be displayed is and the one it was changed from and needs to be removed is Scream4Me (which is awful!!)

    Please help!!!

    yes change the old gamer tag to something different then change the profile you want to your old gamer tag..

    Xbox new gamertag update

    The old gamer tag will eventually disappear and only the new one will remain.

    It took about a good week before everything for me updated to the new gamer tag after my change a while back.

    try changing the gamer tag on the old account then you should be able to use that gamer tag on your new account.

    For some reason my new gamer tag linked itself to my old gamer tag email address. I don't know how to change that and to link my old gamer tag back to my Microsoft account. I believe that's why I cant play as my old game tag. Is there a way to fix that?
