Profile reset/refresh?

Hello.

I believe my XBL profile is corrupted. I am trying to change the colours, gamer pics and themes on my Series X. I have tried multiple options with no resolution. I know someone who has both the Series X and Series S and he CAN change the customisation options in his profile.

In the link below, I have posted that even on xbox.com I am not able to change my gamer pic which to me suggests that my profile is corrupted somehow. Is it possible that my XBL profile can be resetted/refreshed? I had the original Xbox One and profile customisation on that console was working fine with no issues.

I do not want to create a new XBL profile as I have had my current one since the original Xbox but I do understand and accept that I might have to.

Hi. I have checked the link you have provided and I am the only member in there. I know I am on an adult account as changing gamer pics worked on the original Xbox One console.

In the link above, I do not see any way of checking to see whether I am on an adult or child account. The picture below is all I see in the link. My profile in the link is not clickable.

Thank you. I will do the power cycle as you mentioned above, but I do not expect it to solve my problem.

How do I contact support directly? If you need to PM or email me direct regarding this then please do. I assume contacting support directly is not common knowledge nor practice.

I have done a console reset multiple times and it still does not fix the issue. A power cycle will not fix the issue as a console reset should clear the cache automatically. I will try it again but I do not expect it to solve the issue.

I still believe my profile is corrupted and needs reconfiguring for the Series X. I never had this issue on the original Xbox, the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One.

I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

- Select Reset console.

- Choose Keep Games and Apps

Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.
