Profile permissions ?

Hi , ive just installed GTA 5 and when i try to join online i get the message " your profile does not have the correct permissions to access xbox live functionality".

Gold membership for 12 months has been purchased and code redeemed. Any ideas ?

New to GTA Online...

I got wifi recently, and I wen to create to my GTA Online character, and I keep getting a message saying "Your profile doesn't have permission..." I don't understand this. Is it the settings (which my profile is set to custom) or do I NEED Xbox Gold for Online?

If this is the profile that you are trying to play online with, it is definitely showing here as a silver (free) membership. How/where did you redeem your code? Is it possible that you redeemed it to another profile?

I have just had the same error while trying to play plantsvzombies. Any ideas how to fix? It was working perfectly up until about a week ago??

You're showing as silver as well. If you're supposed to be on a gold subscription, check your account at
Sign in to your Microsoft account and see if it was cancelled for some reason. If that is the case, you will need to contact support. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or
support.xbox.com/contact-us

Do you have a child or adult account?

If you have a child account then you can't play GTA V online due to the age limit

Check your privacy settings and set your privacy settings to the default for an adult. Then power cycle as indicated in previous post. If that doesn't correct the problem then remove your accoubt from the Xbox. Power cycle and then download a fresh profile
(just add your profile again) and see if that corrects it. Do you have any problems with other games? And your network settings are fine? You dont have any error messages showing on your network settings page

Then delete the game and reinstall it. I am also assuming you have an active Gold membership. I am just working you through the troubleshooting steps that could be the cause of your issue here. If all the above fails you could restore your Xbox to factory
settings choosing to keep your games and apps. If that fails your last option is a complete factory restore. Hope one of these fixes your issue.
