Profile not signing in on Xbox 360 Emulator

Whenever I attempt to sign in with my main profile on the 360 emulator it never works. I tried deleting my account off the emulator and downloading it again but it came up with an error saying my credentials were incorrect when I know they were correct.
I tried it on my backup account and it signed in with no problem. Any ideas why it would work with one profile and not another?

I can choose the sign in button but my account isn’t on the 360 emulator (because a possible solution was to remove the profile off of the xbox one and 360 emulator) so it directs me to download a profile. when this problem first started happening my
account was on the 360 emulator but if I chose to sign in it would say it couldn’t connect to Xbox live so it couldn’t sign me into my profile.

Besides the Two step verification that the others have talked about. Which you would either need to use the app password or turn off TSV

The password box on the 360s including the emulator on the Ones is limited to 16 characters so if your password is longer than 16 characters it will not accept the password past the 16 characters and to fix this you would need to make your password less
than 16 characters.

The only reason it shouldn't work is if Two-factor authentication is enabled on the account that won't sign in or the account you're trying to sign in to is banned from xbox live.

it's a problem with the emulator itself. not something on Xbox's side. I would suggest getting a Xbox 360 instead of using a emulator.

Killing Intent

Do you by any chance have two step authentication enabled on your main account? If so then Xbox 360 needs an app password instead of your main password.
