profile log in issues

i spent about 3 hours or more on the phone last night/this morning resolving a number of issues concerning my account, as well as lifting the restrictions from my daughter's new account and XBOX ONE S.

To my dismay, as I turned on my own XBOX ONE S tonight, i was unable to log in with my profile. When i selected my gamertag icon, it prompted me to enter my passkey. Upon doing so, I was routed to another page, which prompted me to enter the password associated
with my account. Even after entering it,I was routed to yet another page which stated that this (meaning mine) account was already associated with this (my) XBOX. It went on to say that i could not add this account from this page either, which makes no sense
bc all i want to do is log in to my account as I have done numerous times prior to "resolving my microsoft account issues" and adding/managing my daughter's account under the family setting. I am a disabled veteran and things such as this stress me to the
max bc gaming is one of the few psychological escapes i can enter into to escape the reality that are my medical circumstances. Any and all help in rectifying this situation as soon as possible will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the issues you are facing with your account.

I would ask you if you could try to login on www.xbox.com or www.microsoft.com first to check if you are able to login properly with your account.

Depending on what the answer is, we can proceed in one way or another.

I can log onto the xbox website. How dioes this help in relation to the xbox console?

I have an XBOX 360. I recently changed my microsoft account password. When I tried logging in on the Xbox 360 xbox live profile, an error was shown that my password did not work. 4 password changes later, including a reformat of the hard drive,, deleting
the profile to try and download again, I cannot do so, same error.

What can I do to resolve this so I can get back online.

Let me see what I can do to help:

Is this your first-time logging into any Xbox?

This sounds like you were assigned a random username which happens when your account is first created. You have the option to change this username for free: Change Gamertag | Xbox Support

If this is not your first time signing in, then I would recommend double checking your account info. Specifically, your log in email. If the system picks up that there is no Microsoft Account associated to the email you typed in, then it will go through the account creation process and give you that randomly assigned gamertag.

Yes. I can log in there, but need to log onto to the xbox 360 to play games and access other apps. I cannot download the profile onto the xbox 360.
