Profile is not allowed access to online gaming

I tried "1." and 3." pretty much right after writing this. I have now also tried "2.", the Power Cycle-thing. Still no luck. I also tried doing them in the order, still nothing. I've heard that you could have to wait up to 24 hours after paying. (My payment
went thru about 30-40 min ago). Do I really have to wait about 23 more hours? Why is it that broken? My membership is active, so why can't I get online? It's almost stealing in my opinion.

I'm sorry, but this is really frustrating. I don't know any other service (PSN, Netflix, etc), where I have to wait a long time for a service after paying for it. Every other service is instant, so why isn't this that?

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. We understand that your not able to go online even after renewing your subscription. We suggest trying out the following to resolve this issue:

1.
Remove your account from the Xbox one

2.
Power cycle your console

3.
Sign into your account on the Xbox one

It seems that I'm now able to go Online. It just took a while. I've seen that it takes a while if you go thru with the payment on PC, but I did it on the console itself, so it's weird that I had to wait about 2 and a half hours.

Sometimes it can take a while for the console to recognize the change in subscription. The steps @XBF Chris J recommended are the best to try. It should come back in time, but removing and re-adding your profile usually seems to kick it in gear.

The Home setting will allow other profiles to access gold in order to play online multiplayer. In order to access gold deals, you would need a paid gold subscription on the account.
