Profile Download Error - Backwards Compatible Games

Hi Leroy,

Try bypassing your Linksys and using only your Motorola SURFboard SB6121 ( the SB6121 has wireless built in try using it as your connection ) or if you can use a cable - if it has only one port, try a NON managed switch or a regular hub if needed, and make
sure your gamertag is the same gold one from the 360 you use. on the Motorola SURFboard SB6121 make sure your firewall does not block pings./ or put your xb1 in the DMZ as a test you can always take it out.

Also I noticed that cant connect was caused by the wrong gamertag or that gamertag was being used by the 360 at the same time.

I'll definitely try bypassing the router, but I did connect my ethernet into my router and the same problem still persists.

I also DMZ'd my Xb1 and its still currently DMZ'd with no luck.

I'll be home in a few hours and I will try connecting to the Modem instead and make sure its not blocking pings.

 

Last time I had checked though, I know it wasn't blocking pings.

 

when you used wireless and it worked was it thru your Linksys? and your Linksys was connected to your modem with a wire?

after you make the connection to your modem to your xb1 or make changes to your router or modem and you save it and let it finish, you need to turn off the x1 ( holding the front light until it turns off to clear it ) and unplug your modem router and re
sync it.

 

I mean, I'm always connected to Xbox Live on my Xbox one no problem. When I start any xbox 360 Backwards compatible game, it does that and will not connect. When I have tried both wireless and ethernet.

But Yes it was all through my Linksys and the linksys is connected to the modem.

 

Problem still happens after I use the modem like you said on the other comment either.

 

ok if its only the bc games and the 360 logo loads then gives the download profile error, then you may have an issue with your gamertag that purchased the games ( if its with all BC games ) or cloud storage this is where the bc for xb1 saves stuff.

This would be IMO something that has to be resolved by MS and xbox to verify your gamertag has the rights to the games. Sorry I am out of thoughts

What I don't understand is that you can get the games downloaded to your xb1 without issue but just cant play them you would need the same gamertag to get or play the games.

Mabe someone else looking at this may have fresh eyes and see something I am missing.

 

Well it does the "Getting 360 info" then goes to the game menu and I can play the game, but I just can't download a profile, so I cant save my progress of the game.

Yes I had purchased them with this gamertag and I had tried another account I own and didn't work either.

But its no problem. It'll get fixed eventually im sure. Just was trying to find a way to do it! Thank you for your help though!

 

Have you activated or checked out your xb1 cloud storage? ( or activated it on your 360 ) try to play a game and save to cloud on it as a test, then you can delete it, then try the xb1 again see if that works for your saves..

 

I dont own my 360 anymore, but how do I check my cloud storage? I know I can check my internal and external

 

I have reserved game space that shows up when I go to Manage Game

but in your case IF you have no save to the cloud and never activated it, so choose delete 360 storage and then see if they save on your xb1

 

That didn't work either but Oh my gosh! I just flushed my DNS on my xbox and it now works!!!!!!!

 

Okay everyone I had gotten to fix mine, my NAT Type is open, and all I did was go to my command prompt in windows and type in "ipconfig /flushdns" and then it just somehow started working.
