profile and drivers kit

i am having two different problems regarding my xbox 360 consle. firstly after i updated my system to the latest version my profile seems to keep automatically signing out every time i go in or out of a game forcing me too manually sign back in. i have
already tried redownloadin it and it hasnt made any difference. secondly i need help setting up a wired racing wheel to my consle as it doesnt seem to be working, it is connected but my games wont respond to the kit. appreciate any help

Xbox 360 Controller does not work on my PC ?

Apparently Microsoft can't be bothered to update the controller drivers for windows 7 and 8, I have a wireless X Box controller with the play and charge kit. On my vista PC all I had to do was plug it in, it was recognized and worked immediately. On windows
7 it will detect it as a device but not as an actual controller. Microsoft would just rather tell you to buy a wireless receiver or a wired controller then fix their flawed drivers. The play and charge kit story about it not working is completely false.

New Halo 4 wireless controllers plug and play not CHARGING with Pc

sorry for EVEN MORE late post...

...but have you tried specifying windows drivers manually?

I have just tried that and now my halo4 LE controller seems to charge ok through my PC's usb port.

First - make sure you have drivers for ordinary gamepad installed in your windows.

Then - plug halo4 wireless controller with play&charge kit and just tell windows that you want to specify drivers manually from the list of all installed drivers.

Point at drivers for orfinary controllers - windows will warn you that installing those may not work - but continue anyway.

After installing you may need to reconnect charging cable.

Hope this helps!

Don't know about any other operating systems' drivers.

For your first issue, it may be an issue with an account, and you'd need to contact Xbox Support directly. As for your second issue, if the racing wheel isn't Xbox 360 certified, it won't work.

Oh and be sure to ground yourself as static electricity can be a killer. I suggest getting a PC screw driver kit with a anti static wrist strap.

Hi, if this question is already anwsered, sorry...

this is what the drivers basically mean

1. This is the driver you want if you have the wired controller.

2. This is the same as the 1st one, but it packs in the extra stuff you need for the play and charge kit

3. The wireless controller driver.

The xbox 360 controller will not work if you pick the wrong one, and for 3, your computer needs bluetooth...
