Product idea: An Xbox Series X/S based "Surface Desktop"

So this is just an idea that's been swirling around for a while in my head.

The new Xbox Series X is a wonderful piece of tech, what impressed me the most was the simplicity of it's build and it's cooling. You can really tell MS let the hardware engineers have their way. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing device ever made, but
once you see how it's built, for me personally at least, it really grew one me.

How come this APU isn't also being used in a affordable desktop that's just plug and play? You can keep the design, Give it 32GB of shared memory instead of 16, more internal storage, I'd definitely add one or two extra ports on the rear, maybe two USB-C if
that's possible without major redesigns. Sell it for like $800 or around that.

It won't be perfect, we know of a device much like what I'm suggesting, called https://youtu.be/3lv1TxUXIbo. It wasn't amazing, if you watch the video you'll see it's main problem was not enough RAM for the system, surprisingly the fact that you ran Windows on high latency GDDR5 ram didn't seem to be the bottleneck, so I don't think it would be for the
hardware inside the Xbox Series X.

The other problem is that it would be outdated relatively quick. I think that's why it's important that it's done quick, this could help finance a mid-gen upgrade ala Xbox One X/PS4 Pro. Or it could just be a one off thing that could earn back some R&D for
    the Xbox APU.

I also don't think you should follow the Subor Z+'s example of attempting to have your desktop double as a console. Even though it would be relatively easy, it complicates things that doesn't need it.

I think it makes a lot of sense now as opposed to earlier, the previous gen consoles had a CPU that really wouldn't have played nice with anything heavier than browsing, even at the time of it's release.

ofc. I could be wildly off, this might be completely unrealistic, you need to have AMD on board to make the drivers. It might have to go through all kinds of certifications to make sure valuable Xbox only features aren't being leaked. But I think there's a
lot of people like me who would like a no-nonsense desktop with pretty uncompromising performance in a small package.

Sorry if I've been babbling a little too much I've tried to make it as readable as possible, but I know I can get a bit "ranty". This is also the first time I'm posting here, I hope my post isn't too out of place for this community.

    :)

Xbox series X or plain Xbox?

I know they have a habit of changing names of products bit I think it'll be called something else the series x i tgink is jist a brand name for a new line. you need some way of distinguish between the products. So base models xbox one, one s diskless will
be one, the Xbox one x the scarlet/series x and I read there may be another console coming but it's weaker than the x

Shark cards not received on gta online bank account

Did the card listing say "(Xbox Series X|S)" in it's name?

It should also say "to spend in the Xbox Series X|S version of GTA Online." in the product description.

Will the xbox series s support external disk drives.

    Hi Oliver.

No external optical drives will be supported on the Series S/X. For disc based gaming, you will need to purchase the Series X, NOT s.
