Problems with Xbox One X Menu/Console

I have a Brand new Xbox One X and have been playing on it for the past week with no issues.

Yesterday I turned the xbox on and it's like my console is possessed, the controller & console won't let me click on my profile to log in, it will flick between the Home and Store, but will not let me actually
click on Home, I cannot access my games list because it's like the controllers/console has a mind of it's own, it just won't let me click what I want to click. The Select box, will go where it wants to, often bouncing between Home and Store. If I do get into
the MS Store, the 'cursor' I suppose will go wherever it wants to, it will click on random games, I can still use the A, B, Y etc ...if I can manage to load a game, it works perfectly...Spyro still is able to be controlled without issues. But the Xbox Menu
seems very buggy. I have Replaced the xbox controllers with brand new batteries, Turned the Xbox on and off and I have also performed a hard reset of the console.

Does anyone have anything similar happening to their console and/or what else can I do to try and fix this issue?

Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition stops responding

I've had a similar problem. I have the Xbox X and the Elite controller. A couple of times, tonight is one, I turn on the console and it only responds to pressing the Home button and a couple of navigation commands. Hold down the home button to bring up the
power off console, controller, or report a problem menu, when one is highlighted it just blinks when pressing the A button. Only have had the X for a couple of weeks. Hasn't happened yet while I am doing something on the console. only after it is powered up.

 

Should I buy an Xbox One X?

Spend the extra few hundred dollars and get the X if you spend a lot of time gaming.
I booted my original XBOX ONE up just to compare it again to the X to answer this question.

There is no comparison. It's a generational leap. The original XBONE continually scales down resolution, has framerate issues, is choppy, and the menu system is slower.

On the X - the picture is CRYSTAL clear, I've NEVER seen the framerate dip, and the menus are fast and responsive . The difference is bigger than XBOX ONE vs XBOX 360.

I'm sorry to hear that this is happening. We suggest to bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter by performing the next steps:

1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
   EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
5. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Here you will have an option that says
"Reset this Xbox" since
the problem might be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest to perform a
Soft Factory Reset(while keeping games and apps)
Before resetting your console make sure of the following:

• There is a stable network connection.
  
• The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)
  
  
  

Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup let's do
manual setup.
