Problems with Xbox one since buying an elite controller

I have an Xbox One X and the Elite controller since updating it the xbox menu doesnt work. During games all buttons work as they should, but on the home screen I have to press and hold the A button for a long time or keep tapping it for it to make a selection.
My joysticks are also acting like they're stuck in the up position. As if i go to configure on the controller section it shows the right stick being pushed up on multiple controllers. I've reset the Xbox via Hard Reset, changed power outlets, changed Controller
from Elite to Regular and even did a full factory reset. Nothing fixes it.

THIS IS SINCE THE ELITE CONTROLLER UPDATE IT NEEDS FIXING!

It does it with all controllers not just the new one and cant configure anything with the way its acting

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the Xbox after an update. Now, what we suggest is
a reset of the console since the problem that is causing this could be in the OS of the console so we suggest a
Soft Factory Reset(while
keeping games and apps) Before resetting your console make sure of the following:

There is a stable network connection.
The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)
Since the console is not responding properly by providing the different menus. We are going to approach this differently.

Try this:

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
Press and hold the
BINDbutton (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
EJECTbutton (located on the front of the console), and then press the
Xboxbutton on the console.
Continue holding the
BINDand
EJECTbuttons for 10-15 seconds.
Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
BINDand
EJECTbuttons after the second power-up tone.
The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
Select Reset this Xbox
Select Reset this Xbox and Keep Games and Apps

Give it a shot and let us know the results.

You need to change the settings for the controller , there should be a section under configure controller that allows to change the dead spaces on the joy sticks make sure that they are turned down and centered also when you turn on the xbox try from the
console itself and dont touch the controller. Take tha battries out , put new ones in. And then resnyc the controller to the xbox , do not touch the joy sticks when you do this

Hmm had never much problems with the controllers but I think since the 2nd generation the controllers are more high value hardware.

Otherwise buy an elite controller or wait for the release of the new elite controller

In order to find the removable parts to buy for an Elite controller you have to register your Xbox One and then register your Elite Controller under the accessories tab for your Xbox One.

I have yet to call about getting replacement paddles, but I will REFUSE to buy replacement paddles for something that I received defective. Microsoft needs to suck it up and supply replacements especially since demand is high for the controller and they
are hard to find in stock anywhere.
