    I'm going to try to cover the issue and all of the troubleshooting I've attempted up to this point, so here we go:

    I purchased a used Xbox One console from Facebook marketplace in June or July and as far as the warranty is concerned, it seems to only have been used for 1 year prior to resale. It came to me in good working condition with one remote that had a rechargable
    battery.

    In August, I additionally purchased a custom purple Xbox One controller and both controllers were functioning perfectly, one with the rechargable battery and one with disposable batteries.

    Around December 25th, the custom controller which receives the most use during my solo gaming, refused to charge when plugged in. After subbing the rechargable battery for disposable ones, the 'x' button would simply flash quickly 4 or 5 times while I held
    it, attempting to turn it on, and finally stop flashing. These were brand new batteries.

    I swapped controllers, fearing that the custom one had simply been defective, and after about an hour of game play, the exact same issue began with the original controller, which had been functioning perfectly since I received the console. Now neither controller
    will turn on at all, so attempting to connect or troubleshoot is impossible.

    I have tried the rechargable battery, disposable batteries, purchasing an OIVO remote charging stand, and plugging both controllers directly into the console, despite them not turning on at all. Nothing has helped and the online troubleshooting guide and
    gamer chat resource yielded no answers.

    Now that I want to send them in to be looked at and hopefully repaired, I am trying to register them on my Microsoft device list so that I can create the service order and I am being told that Microsoft doesn't recognize either serial number, so I can't
    register them. I looked them up by serial number to check warranty status and they both appeared, but when I put in the same serial number to register them, it is not recognized.

    I'm so frustrated, please help!!

    This problem is caused by xbox controller, because wireless xbox one controller have so much problems

    And no problems.

    Bought an Xbox 360 controller mostly every year because of thumbsticks deadzone problems.

    So for me,the choice is easy.

    I'm not getting the Xbox one elite 2 controller. I didn't get the 1st one why would I get the 2nd one. the 1st one a lot of people had problems with. I've had problems with a regular Xbox one controller, so why would I buy a controller that is 3 times
    the price of a regular Xbox one controller.

    Have you tried a different Xbox one controller?

    If it works with a different Xbox One controller I would begin to expect the controller as the problem.
