Problems with the console while downloading anything.

So heres the problem,

When my XB1 is downloading anything (Game, Demo, Update) it will experience multiple issues and has been since the last update before the February one.

It will crash and not allow me to do anything at all (Power off with controller, go to home etc.) needs to be hard reset.

It will power on if it is turned off.

If I press the power button to turn it off it will power off on screen but the console stays on with the white light flashing.

This has been going on for months now and needs to be fixed ASAP

And please don't suggest hard resets and factory resets or updates because all of that has been done, I only ever post on this forum as a last resort.

Power outage during game installation

There shouldn't be an issue with it. The 360 had a background download option that would allow it to be turned off while downloading with no issue. I have been turning off my Xbox One console while downloading as well with no problems.

 

can i use 2 consoles on live at the same time?

If you're downloading something on one console, it'll affect every console. As long as you're not downloading something, it'll work just fine. My friend would play MW2 with me while his brother would be watching Netflix on his own console, they had no problems
at all.

Rest aside, I think you'll be able to play just fine since your router's on the page.

 

Hey McArtist! Can you give us a bit of information on the "white light flashing" part of this issue? The flashing white light after shut down is actually normal behavior to a certain extent. Now, if you go to bed and it's still flashing the next morning,
that's not normal, but otherwise, it can take a while for it to fully power down. Also, are you doing anything to "force" the shut down during these flashing-light moments? If so, it could be that the console is trying to do something which is getting interrupted,
and is resulting in problems elsewhere in the system's operation.

I know when the system came out there were varying reports of different durations of flashing, and then it went away for a while (normal operation seemed to be no more than 30 seconds of flashing.) Well, the last update it had, mine again went through a
weird phase of extended flashing lights, including alternating with the flashing Kinect light. I walked away, came back about 2 minutes later, and it had stopped.

Long story short, try doing a clean shut down, and wait for the light to stop flashing on its own, and then see if your problem persists. Let me know!

 

Ok so that answers the light flashing, but even still that is far from being my main concern.

The other issues are far more prevalent and troubling
