Problems with Teredo

Hi everyone,

i have been able to play Forza Horizon 3 since its release. But since yesterday, i am not able to get a connection over the teredo tunneling adapter. It is not able to qualify anymore.

I tried all steps on this page:

for example and other help threads. It is quiete strange, because it worked flawless before. I am an PC Expert myself, so i feel quiete confident, that i did not miss anything. So now i am here and hope someone will be able to help me.

A chaque fois que je lance teredo celui ci m'affiche qu'il est incapable d'être qualifié et que la connectivité est bloqué . Même en suivant tout les articles internet étape par étape ça ne change pas comment faire ?

[Translation - every time I run Teredo this one shows me that it is unable to be qualified and that connectivity is Blocked. Even by following all the Internet articles step by step it does not change how?]

Hi wendy!

Thank you for posting, if there is an issue with Teredo being unable to qualify there may be an issue with the router blocking Teredo tunneling. I recommend contacting the manufacturer of the router to get steps on enabling the Teredo protocol to make sure
it is supported on the network.

Sorry to hear about the Teredo troubles, and thanks for letting us know the steps you tried. To start out, are you using a VPN possibly? As mentioned in the troubleshooter, that can be a main cause for this. If so, have you tried using a different VPN? Unfortunately
VPNs aren't officially supported, so we aren't able to go into troubleshooting your VPN if it's being used.

Are you getting an error like "cannot get Teredo ip" sometimes in the multiplayer test? Would you mind asking your provider if you are on a native IPv6 connection and if they maybe block the teredo tunneling protocol?

Because if you setup the one being in the DMZ and still get a strict NAT it maybe a problem with the teredo protocol.

As the 360 is not using the teredo tunneling protocol you do not experience any problems there and get an open NAT on it. Might be another indicator that this could be the problem.

Are you using wired connection?
Have you made any changes on your device prior to this concern?
Have you tried resetting your Network settings?

Meanwhile, the best solution to resolve this concern is to follow the troubleshooting steps provided on the link below:

I will list the steps below for the Clean boot:

Sign in to the computer as an administrator
Click
Start,
and type
msconfig
Select System Configuration from the search results
**ImportantIf the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We strongly recommend that you don’t use the System
Configuration utility to change the advanced boot options on the computer unless a Microsoft support engineer directs you to do this. Doing this may make the computer unusable.
On the Services tab of the
System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the
Hide all Microsoft services check box,
Tap or click Disable all.
On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click
Open Task Manager.
On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click
Disable.
Close Task Manager.
On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click
OK, and then restart the computer.
Once the computer restarts in a clean boot environment, you
can follow
troubleshooting steps to install, uninstall, or run your application.
**Your computer may temporarily lose some functionality while in a clean boot environment, however that functionality will return when you
reset the computer to start normally after you have finished your troubleshooting.

It is not necessary to uninstall and reinstall the apps but it is recommended.

You may want to try clearing the MAC address too. To do that just go to your network settings, click advanced network settings, alternate MAC address, select clear, then reset. Your console will restart at that point.
