    Problems with region


    Hello,

    Just recently I bought and xbox one and when i was starting it, I was asked to choose the language that I wanted to configure. I'm from Spain but I like to play the games in English. To my surprise, if you want your games in english you have to be in an
    English region (I don't get to understand why it has to be that way). Now I found that some games that I had bought in the 360 aren't avaliable because of the region. I transfered back the region to Spain. But now I'm finding some other problems.

    Sometimes I'm navigating through the xbox website and it changes the region from es-ES to en-GB. And show me the prices of Gold Subscriptions in pounds.

    The other thing that I have a problem with is that I can get the free games of xbox one using games with gold offer, but I can't get for free the xbox 360 game (In this case, it's Saints Row IV). It's not a question about the game (I already own it in PC)
    but a question that... I'll never be able to get 360 free games because of my initial mistake?

    How many time is needed to change completely the region of my account?

  2. Problems with region transfer

    I've transferred my account from the United States to Brazil on 30 Dec 2013. I then received an email confirmation stating --

    I didn't really pay much attention since then. But today I wanted to make a purchase and went to add a new payment option and that's when I noticed that the marketplace seems to still be in the United States.

    It looks as though my account is still in the US xbox live. Trying to transfer again now gives me this error message --

    Digging thru the website, I finally find something weird(er) in my Microsoft account billing details: it now has a small drop box with two options--US - Personal Account and BR - Personal Account--the BR one has my correct current information while the US
    has my old details. I tried to delete the US one but I could not find anywhere to do that.

    Ideas?

    I can't download Dungeon Siege 3

    That's why they tell you to match your physical region with your actual region to avoid problems because it's what causes 99% of the problems

    Noob question. I can answer myself for future references.

    I needed to introduce my debit card in order to do the free purchase. I didn't know that.

    So, it wasn't a problem with the region

    Thank you and sorry for the bother... Problems with region :)

    Region problem

    Hello,

    The account migration will let you migrate to any region as there are a lot more Microsoft services that are in many different countries. You'd need to do some checking to find out if your country/region is a LIVE enabled region by looking at the list of countries
    here.

    Unfortunately, now that you've changed your region to an unsupported LIVE region you'd need to wait 3 months before you're able to change regions back. There's unfortunately no way to speed this process up.

    but all the games sold in indonesia are all in NTSC, well most of them…

    so i can play it as long as it's NTSC? there's no regional encryption or anything on the console or the games?

    Right, Content is region specific and your IP is a digital footprint of where you live so no matter if you lie about where you are at or not you will not be able to download region specific content at all because xbox live is not supported in your region
    hence there will not be any content for your region. A quick google search shows many petitions to get xbox live in Israel you could sign one of those and hopefully in the near future you will be able to have xbox live in your country.
