Problems with party chat and game connections

Things you have tried: Tried following the
multiplayer connection error solution which involved disabling/re-enabling UPnP, enabling DMZ and manually forwarding ports.


Is UPnP Enabled? Yes

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? Yes - strict

Any Error Codes you encounter: No error codes. I do get a "Can't get a Teredo IP address" error message though.

Who is your ISP? Time Warner





I have a conundrum, if I leave my router settings stock, with just Upnp enabled, I can connect to games just fine, but I have a strict NAT and I can not be heard or hear anyone else in a party. If I DMZ my xbox one, I can join a party and talk to everyone
and my NAT is open, but then I continuously try to connect to servers when starting titanfall and never get in. If i'm in a party i will be dropped/ or cannot connect to server. If I shut off DMZ and try and port forward I am still NAT Strict, cannot talk
or hear in a party and then i get the error "Can't get a Teredo IP address". I'm trying to find the best of both worlds so everything works, any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Your having NAT type issues, depending on your router I would do the usual port forwarding, TCP 80,UDP 88, Both 3074,

Both 1863, Both 53.

I have been playing on xbox since may and had not a single problem with connecting with friends. Lately when i try to connect with friends it will not let me join anyone. Some times i cant even make my own party chat. If anyone has the same problem
or think they have a solution please contact me in some way.

Call Xbox Support and ask for Connectivity Support. Many modems exert weak NATs of their own. This NAT and the router NAT can overlap and mess you up. Your router may also need to be slightly altered by Tech Support to enhance online gaming connections.
Tech Support can also shut down the router functions of the modem by a process called "bridging".

 

I've called time warner, they said there is no bridging to be done on this modem, it is not a router or anything else, just a modem. He may have been wrong, but that's what he said.

 

My modem could not be bridged either although that is an option for most modems. In this case you are looking at the minor router configuration, and Xbox Support will correct it for you quickly. Make sure to talk to Connectivity or else they won't know anything.
