Problems with new Pay and Charge Kit

Hello,

I've recently got a Play and Charge Kit and after following up the instructions and plugging in my Controller to charge, the light on the USB cord won't light up. Still, it showed my controller as charging, so I left it alone for a few hours. When I disconnected
it the controller didn't light up, as though it hadn't been charged at all. I know that the controller works because I've tried AA batteries and those work, however, the Kit seems not to. Is there any way to fix this (as I got it as a present and cannot return
it)?

Issues with Play and Charge Kits

Honestly the play and charge kits always have problems like that. It has to do with mixing and matching different batches/ generation of battery kits with charge kits and controllers. Personally I've stop using the play and charge all together and now primarily
use the charging kit that can charge 2 battery packs at a time. Have yet to have problems with mine and its been 2 years.

Hello!

If the charge and play kit was the one that was designed for the Xbox 360 that's likely the issue. My understanding is that it either doesn't work, or runs into all sorts of problems. My suggestion would be to get a new charge and play kit for the Xbox One.
I'm guessing all of the problems you're experiencing will most likely go away.

Do you happen to have a spare micro USB cable from a Windows Phone/Android device laying around to try? This will help us narrow down where the issue could be. If you're able to test that, report back here with the results so we can go from there. Thanks!
