Problems with my Xbox One shutting off

Okay, thank you for all of your advice. I do have a family member who lives close to me that also has an Xbox One so I could probably test this using his PSU. Since its normally less than an hour before it shuts off, what would be a safe amount of time to run the console and consider the option fixed? If I run it for an hour say and it doesn't turn off, is that enough time confirm that it is the PSU or would I have to try this on several occasions or for a longer period of time?

Yes, I do think you might need to replace your current power supply unit.

Before purchasing another PSU, I'd suggest taking your console to a local repair shop to see if they have one you could try with your console. This would be the easiest way to confirm whether or not you need a replacement.

Unfortunately, Microsoft no longer manufactures accessories for the original Xbox One, which means that if you do need a replacement, you could either try to find an original replacement through a retailer or purchase one from a third-party brand.

I understand how the LED indicator's colors would make it seem like your PSU is working correctly but in my experience, it's usually the PSU that causes the console to shut down, and not the other way around.

Have you already tried plugging your console into an outlet in a different room or using a different PSU with your console?

I have tried in multiple different wall sockets and the same issue. I did have the issue with a 360 once or twice but have since plugged it into a wall socket as well and have had no issues since. I did just move into a new living location, so I thought there might have been some electrical issue but like I said, I have not had an issue with with that 360 since, 2 other 360s at all, and no issue with my One S at all. I was hoping to try a different PSU as well, but wanted to troubleshoot a few other things before I purchase a new/different one. Sounds like in your estimate, that might be the issue? And if so, what is Microsofts recommendation on these issues now that they don't offer replacements themselves?

Sorry, forgot to mention that as well (Knew there would be something I forgot). I had been plugging my power supply into a surge protector but since I've been having issues, I've been plugging it in straight to the wall outlet and I'm still having the same issue. The only external device I ever have plugged into the USB ports is I will occasionally use the USB ports to use a controller as a "plug and play" type of deal but I believe I also had this same issue happen to me when there is nothing plugged in a USB port at all.
