PROBLEMS WITH MY XB1 DISC DRIVE

HI guys im having increasing issues with my disc drive it wont play dvds but plays blu rays fine just now my game discs were also not working iv put in a service order heres the thing before i send my unit off should i get a usb HDD to save my stuff on in
case they send me a different unit back... i suppose i really should just to be safe

Are things getting better for the xb1?

It will be 2 yrs since the xb1 has been out. Has ms fixed the disc drive problem on the xb1. It seems it's not as bad when the console came out. I hope the xb1 console gets better in terms of being more reliable. But hey all electronics have problems
right?

I haven't heard anyone else having disc drive problems with their Xbox One's since Mid-2014, so yes Microsoft fixed these disc drive problems.

Just go to my games & apps,games & scroll to the right & everything you downloaded before will appear there after a few seconds.

All your saves will be stored on the cloud & will sync when you start the game.
