hi everyone, I'm looking for a solution for my problem, when I go to introduce my gold code, xbox said a problem occurred try again later and a code like that (I don´t know exactly) 80272234, and I can´t find answers about this, please I need help.

Need help redeeming my xbox live code

I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

so what the... what do I do now?

Gold subscription does not except prepaid cards.edit

Not sure how in 2016, you don't use debit or credit cards but that's just me.

Anyway, could someone else confirm if using prepaid VISAs work or not? You could always go to gamestop or bestbuy, use your prepaid VISA card on a subscription xbox live card. That should work. Perhaps order a digital code on amazon with your prepaid VISA. I'm pretty sure they accept it.Click to expand...

I have used prepaid visa/mastercards in the past and they have worked. I never tried for a gold sub though because I would never pay full retail price for a gold sub

i bought my xbox and received a 2 prepaid gold cards ad i redeemed the 6 month card i have the same problem as acetothekitten but those the prepaid gold cards count as a free membership? if so then why those the xbox come with a gold code??

Hi today prepaid code was approved without any problem. Unnecessarily yesterday so tiring. Thank you for your interest in the problem, and all proposals to solve the problem.

So, all you had to do was wait? I'm getting the same problem today with my prepaid 12 months of gold card

If you're having problems buying XBL Gold through your console or the website, you can still get a prepaid code from your local gaming store and redeem it on the account in question.
