Taidara - I've now switched my region from UK to Australia and I'm still not having any joy. For your info, and further to your questions:

I've tried to play FIFA 14 and Gears of War 2 online, but even though in both instances I get a clear run of connectivity when I check my status, I simply don't connect to anyone. For FIFA, the search terminates with the message "Unable to find opponents".
On GOW2, I've left it for 10-15 minutes to find players on Horde and found none.

In terms of other things I've done, router settings are as follows:

uPnP is set to "on".

Within WAN set-up, NAT mode is enabled (NAT - IPv4 Only).

I did have DMZ set up but I've disabled it.

I've forwarded the following ports(in each case, the address entered has been put into the "from" and "to" box:

88 - UDP

3074 - UDP and TCP

53 - UDP and TCP

80 - TCP

Router Firewall: Set to "none" (FYI - even when set to medium, the router's help notes specifically state that settings would still allow outbound comms with Xbox Live service)

On the Xbox itself, all restrictions have been switched to off, so I have full access to everything. I'm also a Gold member.

My own firewall software (Bit Defender 2013 Total Internet Security) is permissive and in any case, I've set up it to provide me with detailed logs of any denials of connectivity.

Am getting quite frustrated. As I say, I've paid in advance for this service.

Go to Xbox Network settings and select Configure network. Select the Additional settings tab and
Restore network settings to factory defaults.

Clear your Xbox system cache, and repeat this process three times in a row.

Delete your gamer profile (Delete Profile Only).

Restart your console, reconnect to your WLAN, and
download your profile from Live.

Can you also make sure MAC Filtering on your router is disabled.

Let me know how that goes and we'll work from there.

i am having problems as well on cod advance warfare i can find people to play with but i lag so bad that eventually kicks me out of xbox live.

Hi Taidara - just noticed I posted a response which hasn't come up here. So, here goes:

I tried all of the steps that you suggested but it hasn't worked. I can, still, occasionally connect to online games via the 1v1 lobby. Connection is always poor and a little laggy. I can't find anyone on seasons, FUT or anything that involves competitive
ranking. I also can't find anyone of Gear of War 2.

The Ak47, I see it's the kick and the mobility that effects the method of use with this one. I'm doing the attachment challenges and the combination of Impact and Silencer changes things. The iron site is so small it kind of compensates for the kick back
because you're fine tuning your aim more then you would be if using red dot or acog. I'm beginning to like it.

Didn't mean to hijack your thread OP, you getting on ok? You can always avoid people if you think they are too good or even find a clan that doesn't care too much about K/D ratio, good luck.

I have Radars on every class because throwing grenades is a waste of time if you don't die much, and throwing them without Quickdraw is an absolute death sentence.

As far as the heartbeat sensors... I don't use them and have never used them. Good try though : )

You sure do have a lot of Sitrep and ACR usage for a player who is supposedly fine with where he's at.

In all seriousness, I don't really think you deserve such a hard run from me but understand this: far too many players use only the ACR, MP7 and PP90, along with the Striker and Sitrep Pro, and don't use anything else. There is no original thought, no skill,
no natural experience involved there.

People such as yourself literally just copy the highest-scoring players or latch onto those items and never look past them. The 'good' players you copied? They copied off someone else.

What it comes down to in game is this: 12 players, 5 Assault Rifles, 5 SMGs, 1 Quickscoper and whatever I'm using. That then comes down to 4 or 5 ACRs, possibly a Type 95, G36C, M4 or M16, three MP7s and two PP90s and one MSR, L1 or Barrett.

Every game, the same basic setup. It's pathetic, especially since it's so tediously standardised that the good players use the same easy garbage the noobs use (and these weapons are aimed at them anyway). Add Sitrep to the mix and you've got it even worse:
the same horrifically boring, average and underskilled players --of ALL perceived skill levels-- camp corners and watch doorways with advanced notice AND a pointlessly easy weapon to use.

This is not decent gameplay. This is not talented, interesting or worthwhile gameplay. It will eventually drive all the new or underachieving players out of the game and bore the 'good' players, effectively killing the game entirely, and that's not something
I will ever support.

Basically, I don't have any problem with you as a person. Your gameplay is simply the same boring, underwhelming crap I see all game, almost every game, and that's nothing amazing. I don't even need to see you play to know that. I wish I could say that you
put a unique spin on those weapons/Sitrep, but... that's not possible. Whether I would like or get along with someone or not is unfortunately rendered entirely unimportant based on their decision to copy everyone else and cap their performance out at a pitifully
low level. I also believe in actually being better than the people you beat, not simply being better equipped or choosing the easy way out. If someone's new to the game, or actually better than me, then I'll do absolutely everything I can or happily acknowledge
they're better than I am, no problem.

1) I would never claim to be a pro/the best guy ever/whatnot. I know I'm pretty damn good and I know that's because *I* am good --not because I use the best setups-- and I'm fine with saying that, but there are definitely people I've run into that I know
have little problem dealing with me *WITHOUT* any cheap crap. They impress me and I'm always honoured to play against them, win or lose.

Yeah I'm a real beast at mp, i have at least 1 kill with every weapon. JK, im only an average player, know it and dont care about getting to the professional level that you claim to be, but I didint realize when I orginially commented that you were such
an expert and no one else was entitled to opinion. Forgive my ignorance.

While I don't claim to hold a PhD in MW3 gunology, I have used the MP5 and to me its one of the worst. So I'll have to disagree with you sir.
