    problems with left joystick (Xb1)


    recently bought a controller from my local gamestop and there seems to be a problem with the left joystick.

    for starters pressing down on it jams it periodically and when I use it to move characters the character will move forward very slowly for a few seconds before starting to move normally.

    it's screwed me over in-game more times then I can count and I don't have money to buy a new one or a warranty.

    would appreciate some help.

    Hi Tsunryze My name is Jassel and I will help you today

    You have two choices

    1.-Access the warranty with the store where you bought your control

    2.-Access an xbox warranty if the control is original

    In case of using the second option you should do this (it's free) :

    1.go to your microsoft profile (Xbox account support)

    2.Inside the devices search for your xbox.

    3.scroll down and click on start order online

    4.Select category "accessory" and issue type "design lab controller (if you have a controller with special edition)

    5.After this the steps are explained by the page

    Left joystick problems

    Try to disconnect and reconnect the controller (wireless, wired). Tell me if this helps.

    Hi Mage,

    Thanks for your update! If you're going to clean your controller, please be sure to not open it in any way (removing screws/ prying) and to use an minimal amount of 90% isopropyl alcohol with cotton swabs or pieces with a microfiber cloth as well.

    Left Joystick Problems Help

    4 years is a nice lifespan for a controller. Chances are something might have gotten under the joystick. If you contact xbox support they can give you some locations to get the controller repaired. Another option is attempting to clean the controller
    yourself. YouTube has a few videos.
